Hey there, thanks for the question. My view is that affiliate marketing really works, me and my brother are doing it together and were getting money rolling in. Affiliate marketing means you sell other people's products where you gain a hefty commission, LoL that's cool! We are always posting our links on forums and stuff so that it directs to our website and blog. The website we often use help us is the one below, I found out how to make affiliate buttons and links and how to direct your links ect. But more importantly I learned a lot of stuff which ordinary affiliates don't know. I really hope this helps, Rogier.

Affiliate Marketing is marketing for other peoples product and earning a commission in return for your effort. usually this marketing is done via email campaigns or through your own website or blog where you will promote the affiliate product and once some interested person click on the product and purchase it you will get the commission for that. the tracking is done by the affiliate software which the product owner implements in their affiliate program. for example you want to do affiliate marketing for web hosting company, you need to go to their website and register as an affiliate , once the process is complete you will gain access to the affiliate section where you can get banners or text link which you can use to market the product by pasting them in your website or emails. once you paste the banner for example on your website and if a person click on the banner and go to the products site and purchased it, their system will track the purchase and get to know that the client came from you (an affiliate) web site. and you will get the commission.
